The Jim Kane Sportsmanship Award is given annually to the member school that exhibits the best sportsmanship from all of its teams during the current NCPL season. The honor is determined by the league’s schools, referees, and officials. Mr. Jim Kane was the long-time coach of St. Clement's 7th and 8th grade boys’ teams. Coach Kane's teams, while always being very competitive, conducted themselves with the class and style of their highly respected coach. Mr. Kane, through his coaching, had a positive influence on many young people's lives and has been missed both on and off the court.
